3.7 Web server
Preconditions
● The computer with installed web browser is connected with the SITOP UPS1600 via
Ethernet.
● The Web browser can display SVG graphics. From version V2.1 and higher, it is no
longer necessary that SVG graphics are supported.
If your web browser cannot display SVG graphics, then "Please install the SVG viewer for
a correct display" message appears on the start screen. To permit the correct display,
perform the following steps:
– Download the SVG update at (http://www.savarese.com/software/svgplugin).
– Install the SVG update.
– If required, restart your computer.
● The SITOP UPS1600 has an IP address that you know.
● Web server access is activated.
The following sections explain how to activate access to the web server:
– For SIMATIC STEP 7 in the TIA Portal at Parameterizing the UPS1600 (Page 58).
– For SIMATIC STEP 7 at Parameter assignment (Page 77).
– Users without SIMATIC STEP 7, must proceed as follows (for software version

V2.1.1):
Device in the state when supplied:
1. Turn both rotary coding switches into the REN and OFF positions.
2. Switch the device off and on again. Please wait approximately 1 minute as a new
certificate is created due to the IP address change.
The device can now be accessed via https://192.168.20.220.
4. Login with name "admin" and password "admin".
5. Under "HW Configuration -> General -> Web server -> Settings" the web server
must be permanently activated. ("Activate web server on this module").
6. Under "HW Configuration -> General -> Communication interface", IP address,
subnet mask and router address can be set.
7. To transfer changes to the device, the "Download to device" button must be
pressed.
8. Now turn the rotary coding switches to the required position and switch the device
off and on again. Please wait approximately 1 minute as a new certificate is created
due to the IP address change.
The device can now be accessed at the new IP address.
If the IP address was already changed, then the state when originally shipped must be
restored. You can do this, for example, using the Primary Setup Tool and function
"Reset" under "Module" - or using the PRONETA tool and function "Reset network
parameters".
