Drum

(1)
Take off the drum cleaner unit.
 P. 4-51 "4.7.3 Drum cleaner unit"

Pull out the drum shaft [1] and then take off
the drum [2].
Notes:
1. Be careful not to touch or scratch the
drum surface.
2. Avoid direct light. Place the drum in a
dark place immediately after taking off.
3. Be careful not to touch or scratch the
edge of the cleaning blade.
4. When reinstalling the drum, eject the
toner inside the drum cleaner unit first.
5. Be sure to apply patting powder
(lubricant) to the entire surface of the
drum when it is replaced or it is installed/
removed from the cleaner.
Notes:
When installing a new drum, apply
conductive grease (Floil GE-334C) to the
groove [3] of the drum shaft. After installing
the drum and drum shaft, wipe off any
grease on the parts of the drum shaft
protruding outside (front and rear edges).

Drum cleaning blade
(1)
Take off the drum.

Remove 2 screws and then take off the drum
cleaning blade [1].
Notes:
Be careful not to touch or scratch the
edge of the drum cleaning blade.
Be sure to apply patting powder
(lubricant) to the entire surface of the
drum when the drum cleaning blade is
replaced or it is cleaned.
