Rear Shock Absorber
Replace the following parts with new ones.
Rebound Rubber (if damaged)
Assemble the oil seal assembly as shown.
Oil Seal [A]
Oil Seal [B]
Spring Holder [C]
Rebound Rubber [E]
Wrap the threads of the piston rod with tape [A].
Apply thin coat of rear shock oil to the sliding surface of
the piston rod.
Insert the oil seal assembly [B].
Remove the tape from piston rod.
Install the piston assembly [A] so that the thick side of the
stopper [B] faces downward.
Be careful not to change the original positions.
Install the new piston rod locknut [C].
Torque - Piston Rod Locknut: 37 N·m (3.8 kgf·m, 27 ft·lb)
Stake the end of the piston rod with the chisel [A].
Check the oil seal assembly moving smoothly on the rod.
Install the removed parts (see appropriate chapters).
