Encoder overview

The encoder is selected in the motor Order No. (MLFB) using the appropriate letter at the
14th position.
Note
The letter ID at the 14th position of the Order No. (MLFB) differs for motors with and without
DRIVE-CLiQ.

The encoders can be replaced without adjustment.
£Incremental encoders are referenced every time the system is started up.
NOTICE
Absolute encoders must be re-referenced after being replaced, as the number of full
revolutions is initially undetermined.
