Using Secure Shell to Connect to Nokia IP40 Security Platform
You can use Secure Shell (SSH) to access your IP40 Security Platform, securely. SSH is an
application protocol and software suite that allows secure network services over an insecure
network such as the Internet.
Note
By default, SSH access is allowed from LAN, and DMZ.
To access your Nokia IP40 Security Platform with SSH
1. Install an SSH client that allows you to make SSH connections to your IP40.
2. Provide the following information to connect to the device:
a. IP Address of the device
b. username
c. Authentication method, whether Password or Public Key
