Quick Reference
Install Batteries
Lift latch to open battery
compartment.
Remove the two battery
containers and insert four C
batteries in each container.
Replace and secure latch when
finished.
Battery Notes
• Dispose of old batteries
promptly and properly. Do not
burn or bury batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries
of the required size and
recommended type.
• Do not mix batteries of
different size or chemistries.
• If you do not plan to use your
powerhorn for a long time,
remove the batteries. Batteries
can leak chemicals that can
damage electronic parts.

Latch
Lift latch to open battery compartment.
TALK Bar
Press when you speak to project your
voice.
Slide to LOCK so you can speak for a
long time without having to hold the
TALK button.
Microphone
Hold the microphone about 5 inches
away from your mouth when talking.
VOLUME
Rotate VOLUME to adjust the desired
volume level.
SIREN ON/OFF
Turns siren on / off.
TALK Button
Press to talk.

    Installing Batteries Your Powerhorn requires eight C batteries (not supplied) for power. Replace the batteries when the powerhorn’s sound weakens. Set SIREN ON/OFF to OFF. Lift the battery compartment cover’s latch and open the cover. Lift out the two battery containers.
