    43-231c.fm Page 4 Friday, May 7, 1999 1:30 PM PREPARATION CONNECTING TO POWER You can power your Listener from either an internal battery or AC power. Using Battery Power To power the Listener from an internal battery, you need one 9-volt battery (not supplied).

    43-231c.fm Page 6 Friday, May 7, 1999 1:30 PM Caution: If you do not plan to use the Listener for a week or more, or if you plan to use only an AC adapter, remove the battery. Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy electronic parts.

Try the left rear corner of the phone’s base, as well as around the receiver’s earpiece. Keep moving the suction cup pickup coil until you find the position that provides the best sound quality and volume.
