If you have a single 2-line modular jack, plug one end of the supplied 2- line long modular cord into on the back of the phone’s base.

    10. Lift the base’s antenna to a vertical position. CONNECTING AND CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK The ET-689 comes with a rechargeable nickel-cadmium battery pack in the handset but not connected. Before using your phone, you must connect the bat- tery pack, then charge it for about 15 hours.
