7.1 General As already mentioned, no specific Linux knowledge is required for using the Spectra PowerBox 100-IoT. However, in rare cases, the Linux console must be used for some functions and maintenance options. Moreover, it might become necessary to inspect protocols, in particular when developing Node-Red flows.
7.3.1 Acquiring Administrator / Root Rights Since the operating system of the Spectra PowerBox 100-IoT includes the “sudo” package, you have the choice between three approaches to run commands with the root rights. Any command requiring root rights can be prefixed with ”sudo”. Example: „sudo /etc/init.d/pm2-init.sh restart“...
Web interface and offer Node-Red updates. Since the application situation of the Spectra PowerBox 100-IoT as well as the update strategy of the user may be very different, these updates must be installed explicitly. Relating to Node-Red, please note that there might be compatibility issues with existing flows between the different versions and that they should be adjusted at first.
Page 91
If individual services do not work as expected after the update, you should reboot the Spectra PowerBox 100-IoT. As described above, the operating status of the relevant services can be viewed via the start page of the Web interface.
Node-Red editor, the process logics must be individually programmed in most of the cases due to the diversity of data structures. The user manual of the Spectra PowerBox 100-IoT can only cover the technical operation of Node-Red, also for reasons of topicality. Since Node-Red is continuously developing, the online documentation should be the first source for details on Node-Red nodes and flow programming.
The Node-Red process can be stopped by running the command pm2 stop node-red. 8.2.4 Starting the Node-Red Process The Node-Red process can be started by running the command pm2 start node-red. Spectra GmbH & Co. KG User Manual Version 1.1 vertrieb@spectra.de...
Optionally, you may try to remove the error from the flow file and then restart the process. In general, it is also possible to import a backup via the Web interface thus restoring functional operation. Spectra GmbH & Co. KG User Manual Version 1.1 vertrieb@spectra.de...
