The system displays the caller’s tele- phone number (and name, if available in your area) and the current date and time, as provided by your local phone com- pany to Caller ID service subscribers.

    43-968.fm Page 8 Monday, August 16, 1999 3:56 PM PREPARATION INSTALLING THE BATTERIES AND SELECTING THE DISPLAY LANGUAGE Your Caller ID System 60 is powered by four AAA batteries (not supplied). For the longest operation, we recommend al- kaline batteries (such as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-558).

When Caller ID is activated, the telephone company sends the caller’s telephone number (and name, if available) and the call’s date and time between the first and second rings.
