After completion of an operation
Empty the dirt collector
To clean the unit, vacuum and
wipe the inside and outside
Place the unit in a dry place and
secure it to prevent unauthorised
use.
Care and maintenance
♦ Always pull out the power plug
when working on the vacuum
cleaner.
Dust-removing machines are
classed as safety devices designed
to prevent or eliminate dangers as
specified in § 39 of the VBG 1
"General Regulations".
♦ In order to carry out maintenance
work, users must dismantle, clean
and service the unit, as far as this
is possible, without endangering
maintenance personnel or other
persons. Suitable precautions
include: Decontamination before
the unit is dismantled. Ensuring
that there is a filtered forced
ventilation system in the room
where the unit is to be dismantled.
Cleaning the maintenance surface
and the provision of suitable
protection for personnel.

♦ The outside of the unit should be
cleaned thoroughly by vacuuming
it and any harmful substances
removed. Alternatively, a sealed
coating can be applied before the
unit is removed from the danger
area. It is important to assume that
all parts of the unit are
contaminated when they are
removed from the danger area.
♦ All contaminated parts, which
cannot be satisfactorily cleaned,
when carrying out maintenance
and repair work, must be disposed
of. These parts must be placed in
sealed bags and disposed of in
accordance with current
regulations relating to the disposal
of such waste materials.
Safety devices designed to prevent
or eliminate dangerous situations
must be regularly serviced . This
means that the safety functions of
the devices must be subjected to a
thorough inspection, e.g. checking
for leaks and damage to the filter,
and testing the monitoring function.
This inspection must be carried out
by the manufacturer or a trained
person at least once a year.
No outside help is required for
carrying out basic maintenance and
cleaning work.
The outer surface of the unit and the
inside of the container should be
regularly cleaned with a damp cloth.
It is important to observe the
following instructions in order to
minimise health hazards whilst
carrying out maintenance work.
A respiratory mask P2, or of a
greater protection, and also
disposable clothing must be worn
when carrying out maintenance
work e.g. replacing the filter).
Replacing the flat pleated filter
Open the filter cover (1) and
remove the flat pleated filter (2).
(As directed on the filter element
packaging)
Dispose of the used filter element
in a dust-tight, sealed bag in
accordance with legal stipulations.
Remove any accumulated dirt on
the clean-air side
Replace the flat pleated filter
Close the filter cover, it must
engage audibly
• The vacuum cleaner is fitted with a
paper filter bag which has a sliding
seal.

• The bag must be replaced when
the paper filter bag is full and the
volume flow falls below the
minimum level .
At the end of its service life the
unit must be disposed of in
accordance with legal
stipulations.
