restartimagrp

Restart IMA Group
The restartimagrp command manually restarts the specified IMA group. This command is typically
used when the IMA autorestart feature is disabled and IMA group operation stops due to the following
types of service events:
Line changes can halt IMA group operation when the affected lines are the only operational lines in the
IMA group.
For an IMA group to operate properly, it must learn the unique IMA group IDs for the near and far ends.
If the IMA group stops operating and must be restarted, you can use the restartimagrp command with
the following options:

One or more lines placed in loopback at the near or far end
One or more lines inadvertently moved to another switch
The far end IMA group is deleted and re-added
No action. Start the IMA group as a new group.
Persistent IMA group ID. Restart the IMA group using the previously learned IMA group ID for the
far end. Any lines that are connected to a different IMA group are excluded from IMA group
operation.
Relearn the IMA group ID. Restart the IMA group and relearn the IMA group ID for the far end.
Enter the number for the IMA group you want to display. Use the dspimagrps
command to display the configured IMA groups.
Enter the number that represents the desired restart mode:
No action = 1
Persistent IMA group ID = 2
Relearn IMA group ID = 3
State: Active
