Using the Powerbrush

Recommended use
Please be sure to observe your floor-
ing manufacturer's cleaning and care
instructions.
The Powerbrush is specially suited for
the thorough vacuuming of carpets
subject to heavy wear. It is very effec-
tive at removing deep-seated dirt and
preventing frequently used areas from
being trodden into a path.
Do not use the Powerbrush to
vacuum high quality, hand knotted
rugs, for example Berber or Persian
rugs, as well as extremely long piled
area rugs and carpets, e.g. shag.
There is a danger of the threads be-
ing pulled out. Turn the Powerbrush
off to vacuum these types of floor
coverings and use only low suction
power.
Do not use the Powerbrush to
clean highly variable or uneven
floors. The sole plate may come into
contact with the floor and cause
damage.
Switching the Powerbrush on and off
(Fig. 21)
To use the Powerbrush, you will need to
switch it on in addition to the vacuum
cleaner using the  button on the han-
dle.
The Powerbrush indicator light on the
control panel will light up yellow.
This button also enables you to switch
the Powerbrush off when vacuuming.
During vacuuming, the Powerbrush
will switch off automatically when-
ever the vacuum cleaner is raised to
its upright position.
How to use the Powerbrush
 To achieve the best results, pass the
Powerbrush slowly backwards and
forwards over the carpet or floor.
For rugs with fringe, always draw the
Powerbrush from the middle of the rug
across the fringe towards the floor to
keep the fringe smooth.
Using the accessories supplied
(Fig. 22)
The following accessories are stowed at
the back of the vacuum cleaner:
 Upholstery nozzle
 Crevice nozzle, 12" (300 mm)
 Dusting brush with natural bristles
 Attach the desired accessory to the
suction hose handle or the telescopic
wand.

Maintenance

Always disconnect the vacuum
cleaner from the electrical supply for
maintenance work. Unplug it from
the wall socket.

three filters:
