AREA WRITE PROTECTION
Each area will have a protection code assigned to it.
Th is
protection code is checked by the RAD Editor area mainte-
nance commands to prevent inadvertent loss of critical files.
The protection codes are

Meaning

No restriction (i.e., unprotected area).
Only files with NO write protection may
be added, deleted, etc., without
restriction.
Backg round fi I es and unprotected fi les
(i. e., NO write protection) may be
added, deleted, etc., without restriction.

Meaning
Foreground and unprotected fi les may be
added if an SY key-in is in effect.
Files with any write protection may
be
added if an SY key-in is in effect.
The following areas have fixed protection codes:
