CONFIRMATION AFTER INSTALLATION/REMOVAL
Confirm the following after installing an option or removing a component.
Install removed components in their original locations
Install components and cables, which were removed and disconnected for the addition
of an option, exactly as they originally were. Re-assembling the server without a
component being installed or a cable being disconnected causes the server to
malfunction. In particular, make sure that the FPC cable is firmly connected when
having removed or replaced internal components. Be sure to securely install all
components and connect all cables.
Confirm that no parts such as screws are left in the server
Confirm that particularly conductive parts such as screws are not left in the server.
Turning on the power with a conductive part on the system board or cable terminal
causes the server to malfunction.
Confirm the server is being adequately cooled.
Confirm that ventilating holes are not covered with an internally connected cable.
Insufficient cooling raises the internal temperature, which causes the server to
malfunction.
Confirm system operation
Adding some additional devices may require you to run the diagnostic utility or BIOS
setup utility to ensure the device is installed correctly.
