Fujitsu would like to thank you for purchasing the FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS AF650 S2, ETERNUS AF650 (here-
inafter referred to as ETERNUS AF).
The ETERNUS AF is designed to be connected to Fujitsu servers (Fujitsu SPARC Servers, PRIMEQUEST, or PRI-
MERGY) or non-Fujitsu servers.
This manual describes the operation management and maintenance of the ETERNUS AF.
This manual is intended for use of the ETERNUS AF in regions other than Japan.
Please carefully review the information outlined in this manual.

Organization
This manual is composed of the following six chapters:
"Chapter 1 Component Names and LED Names" (page 12)
This chapter provides component names of the ETERNUS AF.
"Chapter 2 Basic Operation" (page 30)
This chapter explains how to open and close rack doors of ETERNUS AF and how to turn the ETERNUS AF on
and off.
"Chapter 3 Storage System Monitoring" (page 42)
This chapter describes the status monitoring of the ETERNUS AF.
"Chapter 4 Process Time (Estimated)" (page 46)
This chapter explains the estimated time that is required for volume formatting and for rebuild/copyback
for each RAID level configuration.
"Chapter 5 Maintenance" (page 48)
This chapter describes maintenance once the ETERNUS AF starts to be operated.
"Chapter 6 Troubleshooting" (page 50)
This chapter explains how to troubleshoot when errors occur on the ETERNUS AF.
