Installation (cont.)
• The product cannot be repaired by the user. It must be replaced by an equivalent certified product. Repairs should
only be carried out by the manufacturer or by an approved repairer.
• Only trained, competent personnel may install, operate and maintain the equipment.
• If you have questions about whether the apparatus can be used safely in the intended area under the expected
operating conditions, please call a GE applications engineer.
• See the rear cover of the User's Manual for contact information.
Special Conditions for Safe Use
XP conditions of use for ATEX/IECEx and Zones:
• The flameproof joints of the equipment are not intended to be repaired. Consult the manufacturer if repair of the
flameproof joints is necessary.
• Consult the manufacturer for genuine replacement enclosure cover fasteners.
Markings
• Markings shall appear on the product as shown in Figure 12 and Figure 13 below for the rack/bench/panel version, in
Figure 14 and Figure 15 on page 8 for the explosion-proof version, in Figure 16 on page 8 and Figure 17 on page 9 for the
stainless steel weather-proof version and in Figure 18 and Figure 19 on page 9 for the fiberglass weather-proof version.
