Fault
The AS-i master does not switch from
"protected operation" to "configuration
mode".
Automatic address programming does
not take place.

"DIAG" LED

Possible cause
The automation system is in the "RUN"
state.
The configuration data, e.g., IO code,
ID code, ID2 code, and ID1 code, of the
replaced AS-i slave does not match the
values of the original slave.
Replaced AS-i slave does not have the
address "0".
Replaced AS-i slave is not correctly
connected or is defective.
The AS-i master is in "configuration
mode".
Several slaves with the same profile
have failed.
The AS-i voltage is missing.
One or more AS-i slaves signal a fault
in the connected I/O.

Remedy
Switch the automation system to the
"STOP" state.
Check that the correct replacement
slave was used.
Compare the manufacturer's
information with regard to configuration
data.
If the original slave is to be replaced by
a different type, assign the address
with the AS-i addressing device and
configure the AS-i master again.
Set the address of the replaced slave
with the AS-i addressing device.
Check the connections of the slave.
Replace the slave, if necessary.
Program the address of the new
AS-i slave with the AS-i addressing
device or via the command interface of
the AS-i master.
Program the addresses of the new
AS-i slaves with the AS-i addressing
device.
Check the I/O components connected
to the AS-i slaves and the cabling for
wire break or short-circuit.
