Cleaning the Inside of the Main Unit

If streaks appear on printed output, or random parts of the printed image are missing, the inside
of the main unit may be dirty. In this case, clean the inside of the main unit, as described below.

NOTE
It takes approximately 60 to 80 seconds to clean the inside of the main unit. The time it takes to clean
the inside of the main unit may vary, according to the model of your machine.

Routine Cleaning
Close the feeder.
CAUTION
• When closing the feeder, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in
personal injury.
• Be aware that the light emitted from the platen glass may be very bright when closing
the feeder.
Press [Adjustment/Cleaning]
Press [Start].
When cleaning is complete, try printing again.
