    OWNER'S INFORMATION This instruction book is written for a person with some mechanical ability. Like most ser- vice books, not all the steps are described. Steps on how to loosen or tighten fasten- ers are steps anyone can follow with some mechanical ability.

    LAWN MOWER. Compare the illustrations with your lawn mower to familiarize yourself with the location of various controls and adjustments. Save this manual for future reference. These symbols may appear on your lawn mower or in literature supplied with the product. Learn and understand their meaning.

  • Page 11 2. Remove engine oil cap; lay aside on a clean surface. 3. Tip lawn mower on its side as shown and drain oil into a suitable container. Rock lawn mower back and forth to re- move any oil trapped inside of engine.

    Do not attempt to increase engine speed or it may result in personal injury. If you believe that the engine is running too fast or too slow, take your lawn mower to a qualifi ed service center for repair and adjustment.

    Immediately prepare your lawn mower for storage at the end of the season or if the unit will not be used for 30 days or more. LAWN MOWER When lawn mower is to be stored for a period of time, clean it thor oughly, remove all dirt, grease, leaves, etc.

    IMPORTANT: Never cover mower while en gine and exhaust areas are still warm. CAUTION: Never store the lawn mower with gaso line in the tank inside a build ing where fumes may reach an open fl ame or spark.
