This sudden stopping of the chain results in a reversal of the chain force used to cut wood and causes the saw to move in the opposite direction of the chain rotation.

    3.2 ounces (95 ml) of oil with 1 gallon (4 liters) of unleaded gasoline. Included with this saw is a 3.2 ounce container of Poulan/WEED EATER brand synthetic oil. Pour the entire contents of this container into 1 gallon of gasoline to achieve the proper fuel mixture.

NOTE: If the engine sounds as if it is trying to start before the 5th pull, stop pulling and immediately proceed to the next step.

    11. Reinstall backplate, outlet guide, muffler gasket, and muffler using muffler bolts. Tighten until secure. 12. Reinstall bolt cover and locknut. Tighten securely. CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT WARNING: The chain will be mov- ing during most of this procedure. Wear your protective equipment and observe all safety precautions.
