The ActionLaser 1600 is equipped with the following external interfaces:

Parallel interface

RS-232C/RS-422 interface
Optional EPSONTalk interface for the Macintosh
Optional Type B interface
P a r a l l e l I n t e r f a c e
The parallel interface has the following two modes:
Compatibility mode (same as parallel interface for current EPSON page printer)
Reverse mode

Compatibility Mode for Parallel Interface

System: STROBE synchronization, 8-bit parallel data transfer
Handshaking: BUSY and ACKNOWLEDGE signals
P90-25027-1 (Amphenol) receptacle
Connector type:
Applicable plug: 57-30360 (Amphenol or equivalent)
Transfer speed: About 400,000 bytes/second (max.)
