WARNING! For protection from electric shock, the MAC 2000 Wash must be grounded (earthed). The
AC power supply must have both current overload and ground fault (earth leakage)
protection.
Check that the correct fuses for your AC power voltage are installed before operating the
MAC 2000 Wash (see below).
4ower supply
The MAC 2000 Wash can be operated on either -00 - -20 V or 208 - 240 V nominal AC power. It has a full
auto-ranging power supply that adXusts automatically to match AC voltage within these ranges and to match
50 or 60 HV power.
Older models (before Serial Number 4017886001) in the MAC 2000 series were supplied with a semi
auto-ranging power supply unit that must be switched manually to set the fixture for 100-120 V or 208-240 V
power. If you have an older model MAC 2000 Wash that has not been retrofitted with the newer full
auto-ranging power supply unit, please refer to Revision H of this user manual, available for download from
http://www.martin.com. If you are in any doubt as to which power supply unit you have, or have any
questions, please contact your Martin dealer for assistance.

The MAC 2000 Wash is supplied with:
a two 20 AT Ztime delay[ main fuses for use with -00 - -20 Volts AC power.
a two -5 A main fuses for use with 208 - 240 Volts AC power.
Install the correct fuses for your AC power voltage in the fuseholders near the power switch.
4ower connection
Important! Connect the MAC 2000 Wash directly to AC power. Do not connect it to a dimmer system;
doing so may damage the fixture.
You may need to install a power plug that is suitable for your region on the power cable. A 3-prong
grounding-type plug must be installed following the plug manufactureris instructions. The table below shows
some possible pin identification schemesm if the pins are not clearly identified, or if you have any doubts
about proper installation, consult a _ualified electrician.

To apply power, set the power switch on the base to the nIo position.

Reduced power function

The MAC 2000 Wash has an automatic power reduction function that reduces the consumption to 700 W if
the shutter7dimmer is closed for more than -0 seconds. This not only increases lamp life but also further
decreases the overall noise emission of the fixture.
