PCM (Digital)
Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) decoders support L/R stereo only. If selected, audio outputs are
decoded and transmitted to the Digital Output (SPDIF) in peM mode.
Dolby Digital® Audio
Dolby Digital® audio, formerly known as Audio Coding 3rd Generation or 5.1 channel audio, is
a coding technique that provides up to five independent full frequency response audio chan-
nels and one low frequency bass channel. Dolby Digital signals are available only when pro-
vided by the broadcaster.
Refer to section 2-5 to see more
detailed information.
Please make sure that your AN ampli-
fier supports Dolby Digital decoding,
as not all AN amplifiers support 5.1
decoding.
