Write Protect Jumper
If the flexible disk has a write protect notch and jumper
position PR1 is selected, the disk drive sends a write pro­
tect signal to the controller and inhibits recording on the
disk.

sends the write protect signal to the controller but re­
cording on the disk is permitted.
