Julian divides the alarm messages into three priority
classes identified by exclamation marks:

Warning = Message with top priority
!!
Caution = Message with middle priority
!
Advisory = Message with least priority

Anaesthetic gas measurement faulty.

The manually selected anaesthetic gas
does not correspond to the gas
identified by the measurement.

Compressed air supply has failed.
Central supply connector not plugged
in.

Compressed air hose kinked.
Air compressor failure.
!!!
Breathing/ventilation has stopped.
No breath detected for 30 seconds.
No breath detected for 60 seconds in
the "MAN/SPONT alarm limits" alarm
mode.
!!!
Breathing/ventilation has stopped.
No change of pressure detected for
15 seconds.
Inadequate supply of fresh gas.
Leak in hose system.
!!!
Breathing/ventilation has stopped.
No expiratory tidal volume for
15 seconds.
Inadequate supply of fresh gas.
Tube kinked.
Breathing gas temperature above

40 °C.

Airway temperature sensor defective.

The battery capacity of the uninterrup-
tible power supply is almost exhausted.
The messages are listed below in alphabetical order.
The list is intended to help identify the cause of an alarm
message and to remedy the fault rapidly.
Remedy
Call DrägerService.
Check and select the anaesthetic agent
or switch over to automatic anaesthetic
gas identification.
Check connection to central supply.
Check compressor.
Patient must immediately be
ventilated by hand!
Check ventilator setting. Ensure it is not
disconnected.
Patient must immediately be
ventilated by hand!
Check patient's spontaneous breathing
ability.
Patient must immediately be
ventilated by hand!
Check fresh gas setting.
Check that hose system is not
disconnected.
Patient must immediately be
ventilated by hand!
Check patient's spontaneous breathing
ability.
Check ventilator setting.
Check fresh gas setting.
Check hose system.
If using a breathing gas humidifier:
disconnect humidifier.
If using heated breathing hoses: remove
plug of hose heater.
Check sensor lead.
Replace sensor.
Check patient's condition!
Prepare manual ventilation with 100 %
