12.3 Count Clock

The 8-bit timer uses a prescaler output clock as the count clock. The prescaler divides the PCLK clock by 1 to 16K
to generate 15 clocks. Select one of the prescaler output clocks using the DF[3:0] bits (D[3:0]/T8F_CLK register).

Notes: • Before the 8-bit timer can start counting, the prescaler must be run.
• When setting the count clock, make sure the 8-bit timer counter is stopped.
