Do not connect power until Step 10.

Make sure you have:
 Scale
 User Guide
 Power Cord (in its own box)
 Scale-Meter Interface Cable
(if ordered, packed separately)
Place your scale on a level

surface.
Place the scale near a wall outlet and within
cable reach of your postage meter (if you
have one). IMPORTANT: Ensure the scale
location is free of drafts and the scale is not
touching objects that may affect the weight
reading.

  • Page 2 Connect scale-meter interface cable to meter. If you're using a Pitney Bowes meter, connect the large end of the scale-meter interface cable to your meter's communications port. Tighten the thumbscrews securely. See the meter's operating guide for the location of the port.
  • Page 3 Plug power cord into outlet. Enter your location code. Note: Your scale will not work unless you perform this step. a. Find the number corresponding to your state in the chart at right. b. At the LC prompt, press the Zero key to display the first code.
  • Page 4 Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Pitney Bowes electronic scale. If you have any questions about the initial setup, BE NEAR YOUR SCALE and call 1-800-537-2488 (menu option 1).
