This chapter contains step-by-step procedures on how to disassemble the
handset for maintenance and troubleshooting.
Recommended Equipment
To disassemble the handset, the following tools are suggested:
Wrist grounding strap and conductive mat for preventing electrostatic
discharge
 Cross screwdriver
Guitar Pick
ESD tweezers
Replacement Requirements
Internal Battery and Sub board and LCD FPC require adhesive to be applied
during the replacement and reassembly process.
Pre-disassembly Instructions
Before proceeding with the disassembly procedure, make sure that you do the
following:
1. Unplug the AC adapter and all cables from the handset
2. Turn off the handset
3. Place the tablet on a flat, stable surface.
