Problem
Can't operate the remote
control.
The display is dark or off.

XM radio messages

Message Cause
ANTENNA
The XM antenna is not connected.
ANT ERR A short-circuit occurring in the antenna or
surrounding antenna cable.
UPDATING
The radio is being updated with the latest
encryption code.
NO SIGNAL The XM signal is too weak at the current
location.
LOADING
The receiver is acquiring audio or program
information.
OFF AIR The channel currently selected has stopped
broadcasting.
CH– – – You have selected a channel that does not
exist, or that you have not subscribed to.
There is no artist name/feature, song/
program title, or channel category associated
with the channel at this time.

Remedy
• Replace the battery (refer to page 7).
• Operate within 7 m (23 ft.), 30° of the remote sensor on the front panel
(refer to page 13).
• Remove the obstacle or operate from another position.
• Avoid exposing the remote sensor on the front panel to direct light.
• Press DIMMER on the remote repeatedly to return to the default.

Check that the XM antenna cable is attached
securely.
Make sure that there is nothing unusual with
the antenna or antenna cable. Switch the
power off then back on again.

updated. Channels 00 and 01 should function
normally.
