Maintenance (cont'd)
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Periodically wipe the outside of the tank with a damp
cloth and mild detergent; do not use abrasives or
solvents.
When not in use, store the 690 indoors in a cool, dry
environment. Wrap the power cord loosely around the
motor cover.

Troubleshooting

Problem
Unit does not run.
Unit does not develop adequate
vacuuming or blowing pressure.
Piston does not travel through
the conduit.

Probable Cause
Faulty cord.
Faulty switch.
Faulty motor.
Filters are dirty.
Gaskets do not seal well.
Tank is full.
Wrong piston size.
Conduit run is obstructed.
EMT couplings are loose.

Probable Remedy
Replace cord.
Replace switch.
Replace motor.
Clean the filters. Refer to the
"Maintenance" section of this
manual.
Replace gaskets. Refer to the
"Maintenance" section of this
manual.
Empty the tank.
Select the correct piston size.
Clear the conduit run. Check for
flattened bends.
Tighten the couplings.
