Using Simulated I/O
Caution
Compiler startup files compiled with the modified stdio.h header file will run
only in the debugger environment. Emulators which do not have the debugger
interface do not support the increased number of open SIMIO file descriptors.
Calls to the SIMIO function open() will fail in this environment if 12 file
descriptors have already been allocated.
