Using with other equipment
Specifying the type of digital video signals

Press HOME MENU.

Select "Option" (/ then ENTER).

Select "HDMI Input" (/ then ENTER).

Select "Video" (/ then ENTER).

Select the type of digital video signals (/ then ENTER).
• If you select "Auto", an attempt will be made to identify the
type of digital video signals when digital video signals are
received.

Press HOME MENU to exit the menu.
Note
• If you select a parameter other than "Auto", make such a
setting that results in natural colour.
• If no image appears or images appear in inappropriate colours,
specify another digital video signal type.
• For the digital video signal types to be specified, check the
operation manual that came with the connected equipment.
Specifying the type of audio signals
When using the INPUT 3 HDMI terminal, you need to specify the
type of audio signals.

Repeat steps 1 to 3 provided for Specifying the type of
digital video signals.

Select "Audio" (/ then ENTER).

Select the type of audio signals (/ then ENTER).
• If you select "Auto", an attempt will be made to identify the
type of audio signals when audio signals are received.

Note
• The INPUT 4 and INPUT 5 HDMI terminals accept only digital
audio signals.
• If no sound is output, specify another audio signal type.
• For the audio signal types to be specified, check the operation
manual that came with the connected equipment.
• Depending on the equipment to be connected, you also need
to connect analogue audio cables.

Using control cords

Connect control cords between the plasma television and other
Pioneer equipment having the t logo to be able to operate the
connected equipment via the remote control sensor on the plasma
television.
After the CONTROL IN terminals have been connected, the remote
control sensors on the connected equipment do not accept
commands from the remote control units. Face the remote control
units to the remote control sensor on the plasma television when
operating the connected equipment.

When SR+ is not used (a, b and c):
The control cables (commercially available) are mono sound
cables with mini plugs (no resistance).
When SR+ is used (a):
Use the SR+ cable (available as option).
Note
• Make sure that the power cord is removed from the power
outlet when making connections.
• Complete all component connections before making control
cord connections.
About SR+
The CONTROL OUT terminal supports SR+ to allow linked
operations with a Pioneer AV receiver. SR+ features functions such
as automatic input switching and DSP surround mode display.
For more information, see the user's manual for the Pioneer AV
receiver supporting SR+.
Note
• Use special SR+ cables available from Pioneer for the
connection.
• When using SR+, connect the plasma television directly to the
receiver with the SR+ cable.
• When connected with SR+, the volume of the plasma television
is temporarily muted.
