Limiting playback by children
(DVD only)
— Parental Control
You can limit the playback of some DVDs
according to a predetermined level such as the
age of the users. The same password is used for
both Custom Parental Control and Parental
Control.
When a limited scene is played back, that scene
is skipped or replaced with a preset scene.

Press DVD SETUP when the playback
is stopped.
The Setup Menu appears on the on-screen
display.

Press M or m repeatedly to select
"CUSTOM SETUP", then press ENTER.
The "CUSTOM SETUP" display appears
on the on-screen display.
"VCD COLOR SYSTEM" do not appear in
Latin American models.

Press M or m repeatedly to select
"PARENTAL CONTROLt", then press
ENTER.
x If you have not entered a password
The display for registering a new password
appears on the on-screen display.

Enter a new 4-digit password,
then press
Enter a 4-digits number password using the
numeric buttons, then press ENTER. The
display for confirming the password
appears.
