Problem
Laser aimer does
not display when
pressing the Scan
Trigger

decode a barcode
Cause
Corded: Interface
cable is not secure
Cordless: Battery is
not charged
Power is not applied
to Imager
Scan application on
the mobile computer
(e.g WT4090) is not
functioning
Imager software
does not respond
Barcode is
unreadable
Exit window is dirty
Barcode symbology
is not supported or
enabled
Cordless: Bluetooth
link is disconnected

Solution
Verify that the interface cable is
properly connected
Replace or charge battery
Corded: Verify that the mobile
computer (e.g WT4090) has a
charged battery installed
Cordless: Replace or Charge Imager
battery
Restart the scanning application on
the mobile computer (e.g WT4090)
Reset the Imager (See
Imager on page
Verify that the barcode is not
defective, i.e., smudged or broken
Clean exit window with a lens tissue.
Tissues for eyeglasses work well. Do
not use tissues coated with lotion
See your system administrator
