■ Precautions
• Set the same model as the one actually mounted.
• The CPU module or remote head module that is not set as actually mounted denies access.
• The number of I/O points of a module can be changed in "I/O Assignment Setting" of the [I/O Assignment] tab on the
"System Parameter" window.
• If the number of I/O points set in the parameters differs from that of the module actually mounted, the number of I/O points
will be as follows:
Setting
The number of I/O points set in the
parameters is less than that of the module
actually mounted.
The number of I/O points set in the
parameters is more than that of the module
actually mounted.
• Set same modules as in the actual system on the "Module Configuration" window. Because the settings of the engineering
tool control the module operation, a setting that is different from the actual configuration may result in unintended operation.
• When changing the default I/O numbers, setting the I/O numbers to all the modules is recommended. I/O numbers of a
module that is not set in the engineering tool are assigned following the I/O numbers of the module already set, which may
cause an overlap of I/O numbers.
Ex.
I/O numbers overlap as a result of setting the I/O numbers up to the module on slot No.4.
• I/O numbers set by using the engineering tool
Operation
The available number of points for the mounted I/O modules is
reduced to the set number of points.
The number of I/O points exceeding the actual number of I/O
points is not used in the mounted I/O modules and intelligent
function modules.
Remarks
Intelligent function modules do not permit
the setting of a fewer number of I/O points.
Set the start I/O number 40 to the module on slot
No.3, and 30 to the module on slot No.4.
