Figure 8.1: Front view of CCSD-CURD Control Unit
The built‑in recorder in the CCSD-CURD Control Unit can be used to record discussions in the
MP3 format. Recordings can be saved to the internal memory or an USB memory stick (The
USB memory stick needs to be formatted in FAT32. Other file systems do not work.). The
appropriate memory and LED indicator are selected and deselected when the USB memory
stick is inserted and removed from the USB connector at the front of the Control Unit.
When recording is started, the MP3 recorder automatically creates an MP3 file, using the
current date and time as the file name. Recorded files have a maximum duration of 60
minutes. After 60 minutes, the file will be automatically closed, and a new file will be created.
This process is repeated as long as recording is active or until the internal memory or USB
stick is full.
Notice!
An USB memory stick > 32GB cannot be formatted to FAT32 using the standard windows
format-tool. An additional tool is needed. This tool is part of the DVD which comes with the
Control Unit.
