Load Coils Test
The Load Coils test performs a frequency sweep of the pair (either spare or
working POTS) to determine the number of load coils present, and the
approximate distance to the first coil.
Setting Up a Load Coils Test
The Load Coils test requires that the predominant wire-gauge to the first load
coil be entered in Setups, for the most accurate distance-to-first-load results.
Load Coils Test Results
To run this test, follow the instructions under "Starting and Stopping a Test in
the POTS Toolbox" earlier in this chapter. Figure 4-21 shows the results of a
Load Coils test that was conducted on a pair with six loads:
