Air Cleaner Element Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Disconnect air cleaner outlet No.1 hose (1) from air
cleaner case (2).
2) Open air cleaner case by unhooking its clamps.
3) Remove air cleaner element from case.

Installation
Reverse removal procedure for installation.

Air Cleaner Element Inspection and Cleaning

Inspection
Check air cleaner element for dirt. Replace excessive
dirty element.
Cleaning
Blow off dust by compressed air from air outlet side of
element.
Repair Instructions

Accelerator Cable Adjustment

With accelerator pedal depressed fully, check clearance
between throttle lever (1) and lever stopper (2) (throttle
body) which should be within the following specification.
If measured value is out of specification, adjust it to
specification with cable adjusting nut (3).
Clearance between throttle lever and lever stopper
(with pedal depressed fully)
"a": 0.5 – 2.0 mm (0.02 – 0.07 in.)
