DDS-format DAT Drive Installation
The following paragraphs describe how to install a DDS-format DAT drive into
your mass storage system. Your mass storage system can contain up to two
DDS-format DAT drives. This chapter often refers to the DDS-format DAT drive
as the tape drive.
Note
DDS-format DAT drives can be installed into slot 1 or slot 3 (the
front slots). The first DDS-format DAT drive should be installed
in slot 3 (left slot) if it is empty.
Unpacking the Upgrade Kit
Unpack and identify the contents of the upgrade kit. Figure 4-1 shows the
contents of the DDS-format DAT drive upgrade kit.
