Setting loading state

Starting engine
The loading state cannot

be set while driving.

Press button 1 to display cur-
rent adjustment.
Press button 1 repeatedly and
hold until desired setting is dis-
played.
Starting from the current state,
the display is in the following or-
der:
One-up
One-up with luggage
Two-up (with luggage)
If button 1 is not pressed for a
longer time, spring preload and
possibly also damping is set as
indicated. The display flashes
while the spring preload is ad-
justed. Then the ESA display
is automatically hidden again.

Tires

Checking tire pressure
Incorrect tire inflation pres-
sure results in poorer hand-
ing characteristics of the motor-
cycle and reduces the life of the

tires.

Ensure proper tire inflation
pressure.
At high road speeds, tire
valves installed perpen-
dicular to the wheel rim have a
tendency to open as a result of
centrifugal force.
In order to avoid a sudden loss of
tire inflation pressure, fit a valve
cap with rubber sealing ring to
the rear tire and make sure that
the cap is screwed on firmly.
Make sure ground is level and
firm and park motorcycle.
Check tire pressures against
data below.
Tire pressure, front
31.9 psi (2.2 bar) (Single
rider, with cold tire)
36.3 psi (2.5 bar) (Driver with
passenger and/or load, with
cold tire)
