7. Follow the following sequence to install the four screws to secure the new heat sink and fan assembly.
Do not over-tighten the screws.
a. Partially tighten screw
b. Partially tighten screw

8. Connect the heat sink and fan assembly cable to the CPU fan connector on the system board. See
"System board components" on page 20.

For service technician only: replacing the CPU

Attention: This procedure must be performed only by trained service personnel of Lenovo. Do not open your server or

familiar with important guidelines" on page 39.
