When you close your phone,
the external screen shows the
time, status indicators, and
notifications for incoming calls
and other events. For a list of
phone status indicators, see
page 39.
handsfree speaker
Note: You must open your phone's flip to
activate the speakerphone.
You can use your phone's handsfree speaker
to make calls without holding the phone to
your ear.
The handsfree speaker stays on until you
press and hold the smart/speakerphone key
again or turn off the phone.

when your phone is connected to a handsfree
car kit or headset.

To activate the

during a call,
press and hold
the
smart/speakerp
hone key.
You will see Spkrphone On and the speakerphone
indicator q, and hear a soft audio alert.
To end the call, press End Call or P. You will
see Call Ended and hear a soft audio alert.
Note: Closing the flip while using the
speakerphone does not end the call.
