Overview

This guide provides basic instructions for installing and initially
configuring HP ProLiant Storage Servers. The basic steps are:
Setup the hardware.

Refer to the HP ProLiant Storage Server installation poster for
model-specific information.
Collect configuration information.

See Table 2, in chapter 2 of this guide.
Use one of the following methods to initialize the storage

server and identify the configuration parameters.
• Remote browser
• Direct attach

Use the Rapid Startup Wizard to complete the initial

configuration.

Configure storage, if applicable.
