Removing the cassette mechanism
assembly
Prior to performing the following procedure, remove
the right and left side grilles and the front cabinet
assembly.
1.
Disconnect the card wires from connector CN405
and CN406 on the microcomputer board located on
the underside of the CD unit of the rear cabinet
assembly.
2.
Remove the four screws C attaching head shield and
the cassette mechanism assembly.
Removing the CD unit assembly
The CD unit assembly cannot be removed if the
cassette mechanism assembly has not been
removed.
Prior to performing the following procedure, remove
the right and left side grilles, the front cabinet
assembly and the cassette mechanism assembly.
1.
Remove the cassette chassis (See Fig.6).
2.
Disconnect the card wires from connector CN631
and CN632 on the amplifier board.
3.
Disconnect the card wires from connector CN403 on
the microcomputer board.
4.
Remove the two screws D attaching the CD
mechanism assembly on the back of the rear cabinet
5.
Pull out the CD unit assembly toward the front.
