To change the AM tuning interval
Use the buttons on the unit for the operation.
The factory settings for AM tuning interval is
9 kHz (or 10 kHz for some areas). To change the
AM tuning interval, select any AM station first,
then turn off the system. While holding down
TUNER ENTER, press ?/1 to turn on the
system again. “AM STEP 9k” or “AM STEP
10k” appears in the display. When you change
the interval, AM preset stations will be erased.
To reset the interval, repeat the same procedure.
Note
You cannot change the AM tuning interval in Power
Saving Mode (page 60).
Tips
• The preset stations are retained for half a day even if
you unplug the power cord or if a power failure
occurs.
• If you press TUNER/BAND on the unit while the
system is off, the system turns on automatically and
“TUNER” is selected as the function.
• You can also press TUNER/BAND on the unit to
select “TUNER”.

Listening to the radio

You can listen to a radio station either by
selecting a preset station, or by manually tuning
in the station.
Listening to a preset station
— Preset Tuning
Before tuning to preset stations, be sure to preset
them first (see “Presetting radio stations” on
page 41).

Press FUNCTION +/– (or FUNCTION on
the unit) repeatedly until “TUNER”
appears in the display.

Press BAND (or TUNER/BAND on the
unit) repeatedly to select “FM” or
“AM”.

Press TUNING MODE repeatedly until
“PRESET” lights up in the display.

Press TUNING +/– repeatedly to select
the preset station you want.
