PART 1: SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WARNING: HOT SURFACE! WARNING: FIRE HAZARD Safety precautions If the power cord is damaged, it must be repaired by the manufacturer, service technician or a similarly qualifi ed person in order to prevent injury. Use only the new hose set supplied with the appliance; old, used or worn out hoses must not be used.

Before opening the door, check that the water has been completely pumped out of the drum. Do not open the washing machine when there is water in the drum of the washing machine. Prevent children or pets from climbing on to or otherwise hanging on the appliance.

If the appliance has a single water supply connection, it must be connected to cold water. If the appliance has two water supply connections, it must be connected to cold and hot water. The appliance is designed only for household use and only for washing laundry suitable for washing in a washing machine.

In this type of dryer, it is forbidden to use chemical drying agents. Laundry soiled with oil may ignite spontaneously when subjected to high temperature as may be the case in a dryer. Such a piece of laundry will heat up, thereby causing an oxidation reaction in the oil.

Openings must not be blocked by carpet. The air outlet must not be connected to a chimney fl ue that is used for extracting vapours from gas boilers or other gases, etc. The appliance must not be installed behind lockable doors, sliding doors or doors that close directly opposite the door of the dryer.
PART 3: INSTALLATION OF THE WASHING MACHINE Unpacking the washing machine Unpack the washing machine and check that is has not been damage during transport. Likewise, check that the packaging contains all the parts listed in this user's manual. In the event that the washing machine was damaged during transport or if a component is missing, please immediately contact your vendor or the service centre.
Place a round container (e.g. tin can) on the individual sides (left, right, front, rear) of the top cover of the washing machine. It the tin can is stable, the washing machine is level. If it rolls away, then it is necessary to level the washing machine.

PART 4: OPERATING THE WASHING MACHINE Inspection and preparation before washing Carefully read these methods of use to prevent problems with using the washing machine or damaging laundry. Check whether the fi rst batch of laundry has lost colour. After using a white towel for washing invisible corners on laundry with a small amount of liquid laundry detergent, check whether the stains remained on the white towel from the original colour of the laundry.

PART 6: WASHING LAUNDRY First wash cycle Before the fi rst wash, it is necessary to run the appliance empty for one cycle according to the following procedure: Insert the power plug into a power socket and open the water inlet valve. Pour a small amount of laundry detergent into the compartment and close it.

Finally, select the spinning speed. For standard textiles a spinning speed of 1000–1200 rpm and for delicate textiles a spinning speed of 600 – 800 rpm is recommended. The higher the speed, the drier the laundry will be after the spin drying, however the washing machine will be noisier. The surface of delicate fabrics may wrinkle up and the lifetime of the laundry may be reduced.

Delicates Select this program for washing delicate laundry. Its washing intensity is gentler and the rotation speed slower compared to the "Synthetics" program. It is recommended for laundry that must be washed gently. Wool Select this program only for woollen laundry that is suitable for washing in a washing machine. Likewise, select the correct temperature according to the label on the laundry suitable for washing in a washing machine.
Loading additional laundry This operation can be performed during the washing program. When the drum of the washing machine is still rotating and there is a large amount of very hot water in the drum. This situation is dangerous and therefore the door cannot be opened by force. Press the Start/Pause button for 3 seconds to load additional laundry and start adding clothing in the middle of the function.
PART 7: CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Prior to commencing maintenance, disconnect the power plug from the power socket or disengage the electrical circuit to which the washing machine is connected and turn off the water supply taps. WARNING! It is forbidden to use solvents as they could damage the washing machine and, furthermore, toxic fumes are emitted that could explode.
WARNING! To prevent burns, water should be drained after the water inside the washing machines cools down. Cleaning the laundry detergent drawer Press the safety stopper marked with an arrow in the fabric softener compartment. Lift the stopper and pull out the fabric softener cover and wash the individual compartments with water.
WARNING: Before cleaning, disconnect the power plug from the power socket to prevent injury by electrical shock. After fi nishing using the washing machine, disconnect the plug from the power socket and close the washing machine door to prevent children from playing with the washing machine. Removing foreign objects Draining pump fi lter: The draining pump fi lter catches small and fi ne object from the wash.
PART 8: TROUBLESHOOTING In the table below, you will fi nd the most common problems and their solutions before contacting the service department. If the problem is not listed in the table or if the problem persists, disconnect the power plug from the power socket, shut off the water supply and contact the service department.
