Removing the rear wheel

Insert the spacers.
Lift the front wheel into the fork, position it, and insert the wheel spindle.
The brake linings are correctly positioned.
Mount and tighten screw
Guideline
Screw, front wheel spindle
Operate the hand brake lever several times until the brake linings are seated cor-
rectly against the brake disc.
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (

Operate the front brake and compress the fork a few times firmly.
The fork legs straighten.
Tighten screws

Preparatory work
Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. (
Main work
Press the brake caliper onto the brake disc by hand in order to push back the
brake piston.
Info
Make sure when pushing back the brake piston that you do not press the
brake caliper against the spokes.
Remove nut
Remove chain adjuster
rear wheel to be pushed forward.
Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible. Remove the chain from the rear
sprocket.
Info
Cover the components to protect them against damage.
Warning
Danger of accidents Damaged brake discs reduce the braking effect.

Holding the rear wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take the rear wheel out of
the swingarm.

Do not operate the foot brake lever when the rear wheel is removed.
Remove spacers

Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake disc is not
damaged.
