Rules

Rules let you automate device operations .
Rules run in the background . When a rule-
defined event occurs, the appliance is sent
an operating command . For example, if you
connect a window sensor with a siren via an
"If-Then" rule", the window sensor will set
the siren off whenever the window is opened.
Your rules are listed on the automation
screen .
Create a new rule
1 . On the automation screen, click on the +
in the Rules area . This window will appear
[Figure 1] . Here the new rule has been
named Alarm .
2 . You can add triggers and actions . For this
rule, you select "As long as" and click on +
[Figure 2] .
3. Then you define the trigger by clicking on
Window Contact in the Appliance tab .
4 . Then you add the action—in this case,
your previously created scenario "Alarm
On" [Figure 3] . Click on Alarm On and it
appears in the "Then do the following!"
area . So your command is "As long as the
window is open, turn the alarm on ."
You can choose to send email notifications
about the change to everyone who uses
the app .
