Parameters
interface-type interface-number: Specifies a port by its type and number.
uplink: Specifies an uplink port.
downlink: Specifies a downlink port.
Usage guidelines
You can assign Layer 2 Ethernet interfaces or Layer 2 aggregate interfaces to a monitor link group as
member ports.
You can assign a port to only one monitor link group.
You can assign a port to a monitor link group by using the port monitor-link group command in Layer 2
Ethernet interface view or Layer 2 aggregate interface view.
Examples
# Create monitor link group 1, and configure GigabitEthernet 1/0/1 as an uplink port and
GigabitEthernet 1/0/2 as a downlink port for monitor link group 1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] monitor-link group 1
[Sysname-mtlk-group1] port gigabitethernet 1/0/1 uplink
[Sysname-mtlk-group1] port gigabitethernet 1/0/2 downlink
